Heresy is a sustainable snowboarding movement whose core focus, apart from producing high quality boards and apparel, is fighting global warming in order to protect both our snow and also the Earth in general.
Quite frankly, Heresy is sh!t-scared about what we’re doing (and what we’ve done) to this planet, and we think it’s probably too late to stop what’s happening now, however, we figure we have a duty of care to following generations, so our core focus is bringing awareness of the issues to all snowboarders and skiers. Maybe we can slow things down so we can teach our kids the magic of skiing and boarding and see the joy on their faces as the first snowflake they’ve seen drifts down to land on their hand.
Think it won’t affect you? Wrong. It’s here, and it’s happening now. Once I get my bum into gear I’ll bring all the articles up I need to, but until then I offer this. Obama, he’s acting. Do you think he’d act, and spend the money that NEEDS to be spent, if he didn’t believe it? No, he wouldn’t. If you are still in denial, you’re going to be left behind. And then people are going to start to ask you why you’re holding out.
If you don’t believe in global warming, you probably won’t find much interesting here. Yes, we make sweatshop free, high quality stuff, but we don’t exist to sell stuff, we exist to effect change.
The time for change has come.
