If super old glaciers and so on can melt, what will this do for our snow seasons?

News of Switzerland and Italy changing their borders due to melting glaciers. Scientists are shocked over the rate of Siberian permafrost melt.

The NSIDC has released the March figures for Arctic ice extent.

Importantly, they describe how the decline in older ice continues. This is important, because more 1st-year ice means more susceptibility to higher melt.

This Earth and inhabitants need saving. I’m going to do my best to help save it, and if you’re not with me, get the f#ck out my way, or I will bulldoze you away. This is not the time for niceties, or diplomacy.

I will not remit. I will not cease. I will hunt down those who seek to deny, delay, obfuscate, the saving of the Planet I love, and I will tear you apart.

I will die on my feet rather than live on my knees. My conscience and all the beings yet to walk this Earth and behold its beauty demand this of me, of us.

From the very excellent 2 year study International Polar Year we have this report on Arctic sea ice melt.
Why does this matter? More heat = less ice = more heat….you get the drift. Our planet is warming up. MY SNOW SEASONS ARE UNDER THREAT, and this does not make me happy, dammit.
