Why are mums so inspirational and amazing
Thanks for checking back, we really appreciate it.
This has nothing to do (directly) with snowboarding, only to do with humanity’s capacity for amazing action. Some of my posts have been a bit of a bummer of late, so thought I’d put something up a bit more light-hearted and inspirational.
Conversation between Heresy’s Mum and Heresy today
Mum (M): “Benjamin Zander…on leadership and the art of possibility..
Get onto it – It is the end of the hunting season in the human experience.” [Ed: by the way I have already added this to my Amazon shopping list. It looks awesome].
Heresy: “What does your last line mean.”
M: “It means that the human heart is depleted and that we have bought and sold too much and that our souls are deeply in need of renewal. We need our spirits lifted and we need to look to the endless and awesome possibilities that exist, instead of looking to the dark and bottomless pit of what has been. That there is nothing left refers not to the materialistic world that we exist in but the invisible world where we experience the eternal echo. The only answer is deep searching of the soul, compassion and love.”
H: “Are those words yours? Can I use them on the website? People will be shocked.”
M: “You can use any amount of my stuff…It is what I am teaching and I couldn’t be more serious. I have given up security and a good wage…a leap of faith but I believe I will be looked after. There is a huge yawning need and I have felt it in the young. They sit at my feet with
wide eyes and aching hearts and they respond with the most moving testimonials…without prompting. The simplicity of the message is
authentic and cuts to the heart of the matter… of what matters…the heart…the great undiscovered interior…our shadowland where we must go to our winters to repair, to think, to ponder, to wonder and to emerge with fresh eyes and warmheartedness. Compassion.

It’s official – my mum is awesome and I love her to bits for being so inspirational. I hope you find some inspiration from these words.
